Before Your Visit
What services do you offer?
We offer a wide range of bodywork services including Craniosacral Therapy, Deep Tissue massage, Sports massage, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage. You can also add on the following to any of your sessions: Dry Cupping, Crown Release, Magnesium CBD balm, and Full Body Stretch. Kindly visit our Services page for more information on each.
Where does my bodywork session take place?
Private sessions take place in Monte’s peaceful greenhouse sanctuary, thoughtfully designed to feel like a quiet retreat immersed in nature. Surrounded by natural light, greenery, and a calming atmosphere, the space was created to help you disconnect from the outside world and settle into deep rest.
Every session is one-on-one and tailored to your individual needs, providing a private, comfortable environment where you can fully relax and receive personalized care.
What should I expect during my first visit?
The day prior or day of your appointment, you will receive a text message with instructions on where to park and how to head down to the greenhouse. Once you arrive, you will walk towards the backyard oasis of the therapist’s private home. The therapist will meet and greet you as you approach the greenhouse. You and your therapist will chat for a few minutes about your intake form/ concerns/ questions/ treatment/ permissions. After the consultation is complete, your therapist will step out of the greenhouse to give you a few more minutes of privacy so you can undress and lay down on the table as will be instructed during the consultation. The therapist will knock on the door before stepping in to ensure you are covered and ready to start your session.
– Bodywork Session takes place-
As soon as your session is completed, the therapist will let you know that the session is all done and will step out of the greenhouse so you can gather yourself and get dressed. Once you are all situated, you can step out of the greenhouse where the therapist will be waiting for you in the common area beside the greenhouse to speak a little on the findings during your session/ treatment plan recommendations. You pay for the service and book your next appointment. The therapist then walks you toward the parking area so you can safely drive home and take a well deserved nap!
How should I dress?
Wear whatever is most comfortable for you. Loose, comfortable clothing is ideal, especially if you’re receiving Craniosacral Therapy which is the only modality that you will remain dressed for. For the other massage sessions that require you to undress, you will be given privacy to undress to your comfort level before getting on the table. You will always be professionally draped throughout your session, with only the area being worked on uncovered.
Your comfort and sense of safety are always the priority. If you have any questions or preferences before your appointment, don’t hesitate to let your therapist know.
How early should I arrive?
You can arrive up to 5 minutes early.
What if I’m running late?
If the therapist has time available after your scheduled session, you may be able to receive your full session. If the therapist does NOT have available time after your scheduled session, your tardiness will eat into your session time. Please plan accordingly.

Do I need to bring anything?
If you are a low risk health individual, just bring yourself 🙂
If you are a high risk health individual, please bring clearance from your primary physician that gives you the okay to proceed with a massage treatment.
Can I eat/drink before my bodywork session?
Absolutely! We encourage you to hydrate and have a satiated belly before relaxing and winding down.
During Your Visit
Do I have to undress?
While it is the standard to undress in order to receive bodywork treatment, it’s entirely optional to undress if you are not comfortable. If this is the case, please bring very loose, baggy clothing so the therapist can work around it. The only modality that can be done over clothing is Craniosacral Therapy.
Will I be covered during the bodywork session?
Yes, yes and yes. During the hot months of the year, you will have a sheet to cover yourself with. During the cold months, you will have a sheet and a thick blanket. Regardless of how many layers you have covering you, professional draping is an absolute MUST. The therapist will only uncover the body part that is being worked on at the moment. After the body part has been treated, the sheet comes back on to cover it.
Can I request more or less pressure?
Absolutely. While we don’t offer Swedish-style massages, the therapist can definitely adjust the pressure during the session to make it more pleasant for you.
Is it okay if I fall asleep?
It’s encouraged! Falling asleep tells us that you are allowing yourself to receive the work being done.
Can we talk during the session?
Your session goes according to you. We can stay quiet or yap away.
What if I become emotional during treatment?
Every person experiences bodywork differently. While many clients simply feel relaxed, others may notice unexpected emotions arise during or after a session. This can be a natural response to slowing down, feeling deeply supported, or simply taking time to reconnect with themselves. If emotions do arise, they are welcomed without judgment. There is no expectation to explain, hold back, or push through them. Your session will continue at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and your comfort, privacy, and sense of safety will always be respected.
Monte is intended to be a space where you can simply be—whatever that looks like for you on that day.
Health & Safety
Who should NOT receive bodywork therapy?
Massage and bodywork are appropriate for many people and can often be adapted to meet individual needs. However, some medical conditions may require modifications or may be contraindications to treatment. Before your session, we’ll review your health history to ensure your care is safe, personalized, and appropriate for you.
General contraindications for massage and bodywork therapy:
– active fever, infection, or contagious illness
– first trimester of pregnancy or high risk pregnancy
– suspected or confirmed deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or you are on blood thinners
– acute injury with significant swelling or inflammation
– recent concussion or head injury
– significant heart, kidney, or circulatory conditions
If you have a high risk condition, please make sure to obtain a document from your primary physician that gives you clearance to receive massage and bodywork treatment.
Can I receive bodywork while pregnant?
You can receive bodywork while pregnant after you have reached 13 weeks or 2nd trimester AND your pregnancy is deemed low risk. If your pregnancy is deemed high risk, it is safer to wait until you have given birth.
What medical conditions should I disclose?
To provide the safest and most effective care, please share any medical conditions, recent procedures, or changes in your health before your session. Even if you’re unsure whether something is relevant, it’s always helpful to let your therapist know.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Pregnancy or recent childbirth
- Recent surgeries or injuries
- Heart conditions or circulatory disorders
- High or low blood pressure
- Diabetes
- Cancer or current cancer treatment
- Blood clotting disorders or a history of blood clots
- Use of blood-thinning medications
- Osteoporosis
- Autoimmune conditions
- Lymphedema or significant swelling
- Neurological conditions
- Infectious illnesses or fever
- Skin conditions, open wounds, or recent burns
- Allergies or sensitivities to oils, lotions, CBD, or essential oils
Your health information is kept confidential and is used solely to ensure your treatment is appropriate, safe, and tailored to your individual needs. If there is ever uncertainty about whether massage or bodywork is appropriate, we may recommend obtaining medical clearance before proceeding.
After Your Session
What should I do after my massage?
It is recommended that you listen to what your body is asking you to do. If you feel like resting, go ahead and do that. If you feel like you could run a marathon, have at it! The only thing that should always remain as a non-negotiable is quality hydration.
Bodywork lifts and drains stagnant fluid to make space for the fresh fluid. Hydrating properly will help move along and clear the pathways.
Apart from hydrating, a treatment plan will be provided to you via email which gives you a little more context on what to do for home care for your particular situation.
Is soreness normal?
Soreness in the muscles is pretty common in very deep and firm bodywork. The therapist may have to use a decent amount of force and repetition to get a trigger point to release which can leave you feeling a bit beat up a few days after your session. Lifted, stagnant fluid will also ache if your body is not allowing the tissues to drain. If this happens, ask us for our protocol to get this fluid up and out!
For the most part, our technique is very fascia/lymph focused. If an area feels cohesive, we will first target the fascia to release the chokehold it has on the muscles and surrounding tissue. Once that’s all lose and warmed up, we work the muscle. Muscles will NEVER get overworked to reach the point of severe soreness or aches. We pay attention to how your tissue responds above anything else and stop as soon as your tissue says ‘enough.’
Do you formulate treatment plans?
Absolutely! Typically, after the initial session, we will draft up the recommended treatment plan and send it over to you via email. If you are in agreement, you will sign the document, send it back and we will get you on the suggested membership plan. You can book your appointments based off membership credits and availability.

Event FAQ
The Experience
What types of events does Monte serve?
We create immersive wellness experiences for workplaces, retreats, weddings, celebrations, and private gatherings. Each event combines personalized bodywork with curated drinks, snacks, and wellness gifts.
What is an immersive wellness experience?
Monte’s immersive wellness experiences combine therapeutic bodywork with thoughtfully curated botanical beverages, nourishing bites, and wellness gifts. Each guest moves through an intentional experience designed to encourage restoration, connection, and presence.
What is included in the event package?
Each participating guest receives a personalized 15-minute bodywork session, one adaptogenic drink, one curated charcuterie cup, and one wellness gift bag that is designed around the guest’s desired intention. There are 4 intentions to choose from based off what the guest feels may balance their current mood. The experience is offered as one complete bundle rather than separate add-ons.
How do the guests select the intention?
There are 4 intentions to choose from: Ground, Restore, Energize, or Connect. Right before each participating guest receives their 15-minute bodywork session, the therapist will ask them to choose the mood they would like to leave with for the day. The guest then chooses their desired intention stone. Their bodywork session will be tailored to that intention. After the session, they take the stone with them to The Apothecary to claim their respective drink, snack cup and gift bag.
Planning
Does every guest receive a session?
Yes. Every participant included in the final guest count receives the complete experience bundle. Guests who do not receive a bodywork session are not included in the drink, snack, or gift quantities.
How many practitioners will be provided?
Monte determines the appropriate number of practitioners based on the guest count, event duration, session length, and staff workload. The client does not need to select or schedule individual practitioners.
How much space is required?
A room, corner/space or outdoor setting of at least 20’x20′.
Do guests book individual time slots?
The event coordinator and Monte will determine the most practical guest flow for the event. Depending on the setup, guests may be assigned time windows or move through the experience in an organized sequence.
Do you travel for events?
Yes. Travel availability and any associated fees are determined by the event location and are included in the proposal.
Booking
How far in advance should I inquire?
We recommend submitting an inquiry at least four to six weeks before the event. Larger events or events requiring travel may need additional planning time.
What happens after I submit an inquiry?
Monte reviews the event details, then, sends a customized proposal outlining the experience, staffing, pricing, and next steps. The event is confirmed once the agreement is signed and the required deposit payment is received.
Is deposit required?
Yes. A 50% deposit is required to book the event.
When is final payment due?
Final payment is due 1 week before the actual event date.
When do I submit final guest count?
Final guest count is submitted with the final payment; 1 week before event date.
