The Monte Philosophy

Monte was created from the belief that healing does not come from force.

The body carries an innate intelligence—one that is constantly adapting, protecting, and guiding us toward balance.

In a world that asks us to move faster, do more, and disconnect from ourselves, Monte offers something different.

A place to slow down.

A place to listen.

A place to remember.

The Meaning of ‘Monte’

Monte
Monte (MON-teh)

noun

  1. Mountain; wooded hill; forested land.
  2. A wild and natural place beyond the noise of civilization.
  3. A return to what is rooted, enduring, and true.

Origin: Spanish, “monte” — mountain, woodland, forest, wilderness.

The word Monte evokes the image of a mountain, a forest, and the untamed places that present us with the opportunity to face the loud silence and sit with that discomfort until the part of us that we’ve been repressing for so long, decides to say hello.

It represents the journey inward—the return to what is primal, grounded, and ancient.

The wild is not something outside of us.

It is something we carry within.
